PDI Day 3: Becoming

A compass is often used to ensure we are headed in the right direction, geographically and is centered in a practice I’d like to share with you today.

Inviting you now to Settle into Presence

Close your eyes or soften your gaze. Take a slow inhale, feeling the breath fill your body. Exhale fully, arriving here, now.

Anchor in the Present

Notice the sensations in your body — your feet on the ground, your breath rising and falling. Whisper to yourself: “I am here.”

Call in Intention

Ask inwardly: “Who do I want to be in this moment?” or “What quality do I wish to embody today?” (examples: calm, confident, open-hearted).

The Compass Breath

On each inhale, imagine drawing in the energy of that intention.

On each exhale, imagine radiating it outward into your posture, your presence, your day.

Close with Alignment

Rest your hands over your heart or open on your lap. Say silently: “I am already becoming. I carry this intention forward.”

Right now, in this moment, you are not waiting to become. You are already becoming. Fully here. Fully alive. Fully you.
